Mountain Hikers is a Pune based outdoor adventure sports company that offers hiking, trekking, rappelling, white water rafting, etc, to adventure hungry individuals and corporates looking for weekend getaways.
As a business with a history of over 10 years, it is an established brand name in the cities of Mumbai, Pune and Nashik.
The road uphill?
Despite their extensive business experience and investments in marketing, they continued to struggle to attract prospective customers to online. This was despite having dedicated marketing resources.
The Map
We believe in playing to a brand’s strengths. With an experience of 10 years and a strong brand recall, we felt that a gentle push could generate great results for their business. The idea here was to ensure that MH was visible on all important online platforms – specially Quora.
We used a combination of Facebook, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and regular blog writing to ensure that the business was visible online.
Execution
We aggressively posted on the MH Facebook page and other Facebook groups, where consumers elicit an interest in outdoor adventure sports. By promoting each individual event organically in FB groups we were able to increase the number of Facebook and Website visitors interactions.
FB ads helped us build a solid bank of prospective adventurers and corporates based in Mumbai, Pune and Nasik.
MH witnessed a healthy 30% increase in the number of leads generated, solely via our organic methods. This was a great result specifically for their Himalayan treks and Tiger Safaris trips.
For SEO, we
- Made changes to the website which made it easier for Google to search and read the site structure
- Added industry specific key words to ensure that the page always came out on top of search results
- Wrote a blog each week to ensure that website visitors had something new to look forward to
- Answered question regularly on Quora to build the brand’s persona online
- This creates more online doors/ avenues for visitors to find MH website
Setting the registers ringing!
With regular blog posting, a steady SEO strategy and regular post sharing in FB groups, we were able to reach a daily site visitor count of approximately 10,000, which resulted in 30% more leads from the website.
A healthy base of website visitors allowed MH to easily have a thick book of prospective clients too.
